Rising Star
Rising star- Your chance to shine!
During this edition of the ASZF you will have your chance to present your talent in an audition to four of the biggest festivals in Europe. You can take part as a couple or as a team, amateur or professional.
Please keep in mind this is not a competition, so there is no point system. Each organizer will simply choose the show he or she likes most. It doesn’t matter if you dance on1, on2, Cuban style, Salsa, Zouk or Bachata. Every organizer has to pick at least one couple or group, but is not limited to just one performance. They might even select three shows for their congress!!
Why Rising Star?
The idea of Rising Star is to give new talent the opportunity to show their skills to organizers of big European congresses. We know how hard it is for couples and groups to break out of the local scene, the same venues and parties. With Rising Star we want to give you the chance and hope to discover the future stars in salsa.
What will happen if your show is selected ?
The show that is selected by one of the organizers will get the chance to perform on the main stage in their event. All costs of travel and accomodation will be fully covered by the organization!
Maximum number of participating couples or teams
The number of performances taking part is limited to a maximum of fifteen. So be sure to apply as soon as possible! You are allowed to take part in several editions of Rising Star at different locations.

When does Rising Star take place ?
Rising Star takes place on Sunday 12-02-2012 at 08.00 pm on the main stage.
Participation Fee
The participation fee is 100 euro per participant. We have special group rates, so please contact us. If you already have a Full Pass or Party Pass for the event, the participation fee is reduced to 50 euro per participant. The participation fee will only give you acces to Sunday Night Party.
Length of your show
Please note that your show at Rising Star can’t exceed 3 minutes for a couple and 4 minutes for a group.
